Whether you wear them occasionally or every day, it’s essential to know what type of lens is right for your eyes and how to care for them. A contact lens is a foreign body in the eye. For the resulting view through it to be comfortable and accurate, you need to choose a contact lens that fits your eye.
Contact lens application
We use modern methods to find the right type of contact lenses for you
Don’t underestimate the importance of professional application for first bearers
How the first application works in our country
Eye examination
The complete examination includes 3D measurements, eye screening and eye biometry. Determination of the number of diopters is carried out in our examination rooms using modern technologies.
Control of the surface of the eye
The optometrist will perform an examination on the DNEye® Scanner and check the surface of the cornea where the lens will then be placed. He or she will examine the eyes on a slit lamp and rule out pathologies that would prevent the application and wearing of contact lenses. This examination is non-contact and no medications are used.
Choosing the type of contact lenses
We select contact lenses based on the measured values of your eyes. We are interested in parameters such as dioptre, corneal curvature, but also the quality of the tear film. There are several types of contact lenses. We will always discuss your needs with you and agree on a suitable solution. Think in advance about how often you want to wear your contact lenses.
Handling and care of contact lenses
Before you take your contact lenses home, we will put them on your eyes and evaluate the correct application. We will train you on how to handle the lenses (how to put them in and take them out) and how to care for the lenses when they are not in your eyes. We will recommend suitable lens care products and aids to help you wear them comfortably.
Inspection and consultation after one week of wearing
Approximately one week after receiving your trial pair of contact lenses, we will invite you back for a visit. Come to this visit with your contact lenses in your eyes. We will check that your eyes have adjusted to the contact lenses without any problems, that they fit well and that they do not bother your eyes. We will also be interested in your feelings and satisfaction.
Buying contact lenses
We have contact lenses in stock at all our opticians. You can buy them in person or in our e‑shop. You can also take advantage of our loyalty programme and collect points on the Family Bonus Card.
Test the right type of lenses before buying
If you want to start wearing contact lenses, make an appointment for your first fitting and try out the type before buying the whole box.
The wide range of contact lenses gives us the opportunity to find the right alternative even if you have higher diopters or need a cylinder correction.
