Biometrics

  • Using the DNEye® Scanner, we measure thousands of data points in each eye.
  • We analyse the length and shape of the eye, the location of the sharpest point of vision and lower and higher order aberrations.
  • Biometrics gives us an overview of the structures in your eyes (cornea, eye chamber, lens, vitreous) and the biometric data obtained is used to optimise the production of lenses tailored to you.

Medical eye screening

  • The DNEye® Scanner and the NEW Fundus Scanner provide us with a preventive examination of both the anterior (cornea, lens) and posterior (retina) segments of the eye without eye dropping.
  • We detect changes in the structures of the visual system that can lead to impaired vision.
  • If we find abnormalities, we will recommend further treatment or an examination by an ophthalmologist.
  • It is a preventive measure for the following diseases: cataract, glaucoma, keratoconus, macular degeneration, stroke and diabetes.

The output of the retinal screening will be processed by artificial intelligence and based on the results, we will recommend the next course of action.
The indication for retinal screening, as well as for intraocular pressure measurement, is determined by the optometrist based on the medical history.”

Biometric glasses

3D vision measurements and biometric eye screening allow us to offer you vision with personalized lenses for maximum acuity, higher contrast and better vision in the dark.

Biometric data is the basis for making your biometric glasses.

Measurement procedure

How to get your own biometrically smart glasses

Order an eye examination
01

Biometric vision measurement and evaluation of each eye

It takes a few seconds to measure the eyes with the DNEye® Scanner. You rest your chin and forehead in the headrest and look ahead as instructed by the optometrist. The scanner blinks, whirrs. And you’re almost done.

02

Creating a biometric model of the eye

The values obtained are sent to the technology centre of the lens manufacturer Rodenstock, where a precise biometric model is created for each eye in a patented way.

03

Spectacle lenses precisely tailored

The model’s data enters the computing centre, so that customized lenses can be produced for each wearer. Perfectly fitting glasses mean the sharpest possible vision at every angle and across the entire lens area.

04

Biometric smart glasses

At the very end of the process, you will receive your own biometrically intelligent glasses with significant benefits and quality in multiple aspects of vision.

FAQ

The questions you are most often interested in are

Is the eye examination covered by health insurance?

Our opticians are registered in the National Register of Health Service Providers. We are a private facility and our eye examinations are not covered by health insurance. Complete price list of eye examinations.

Is 3D vision measurement and medical eye screening part of every eye exam?

Yes. In our opticians, 3D vision measurement and medical eye screening are part of every eye examination (if the client’s eye condition allows it).

What does a medical eye screening reveal and who performs it?

During the screening we measure the parameters of the anterior segment of the eye and the intraocular pressure. Based on the values obtained, we can predict cataracts, glaucoma and keratoconus. Eye screening is part of the vision examination and is performed by an optometrist.

How long does it take to get a vision test?

The eye examination takes about 45 minutes. If you will also be choosing glasses and lenses afterwards, please allow at least 90 minutes of your time.
