As part of the vision testing of athletes, we focus on optimizing the visual function of athletes to improve their athletic performance and efficiency. Our approach is comprehensive. It includes understanding the physical and medical condition of the athlete’s eyes, recommending correction and visual training based on the requirements for the sport.

Vision examination in athletes
Obtaining input data
When measuring athletes’ vision, we start with a medical eye screening using a DNEye scanner. This is followed by a standard 3D eye examination, for which we use a 3D optotype and a foropter for quick lens changes.
Assessment of specific requirements
When evaluating visual acuity, we focus on the accuracy of cylindrical correction and binocular vision. If necessary, we also perform prism bar balancing.
We continue with tests to determine accommodative ability and to determine the functional status of the eye muscles.
Design of optical aids
We will recommend an optical aid, glasses or contact lenses, for your ideal visual acuity. Optical aids can also serve as prevention against eye injuries.
Visual training
We will design visual training, which is an exercise program aimed at improving function and speeding up the vision process in specific sports.
The result is faster visual reactions to environmental situations.
Sight is key to athletes’ performance
Neuro-visual training strengthens the ability to process visual information. This training is increasingly being incorporated into sports training as it provides a competitive advantage. In addition, it is also beneficial outside of sport where it helps to improve perception and performance in a variety of professions.
What visual training can bring you
Improving visual acuity
Sharp vision at different distances will allow better recognition of objects and movement in the environment and will also reduce reaction time.
Improving peripheral vision
Perfect spatial perception is important in sports where you are watching multiple players or objects at the same time.
Better eye-hand coordination
It will increase the ability to accurately aim and control hand movements. This is crucial for game efficiency in sports such as tennis, basketball or shooting.
Faster response time
Reducing visual reaction times will speed up reactions to changes in the environment, such as opponent movement or ball flight.
Improving depth perception
More accurate estimation of distances between you and objects or opponents will help you time your moves and strikes correctly.
Increase concentration and visual endurance
Better concentration during longer periods and less eyestrain.
“Visual training can be tailored to your sport and your specific needs, which can lead to a significant improvement in your level of athletic performance while reducing the risk of injury.”
