Types of dioptric sunglasses

These lenses are available in three main intensity categories:

• Category 4: Very dark glass, suitable for extreme conditions but unsuitable for driving.

The lenses can have a solid or gradial tint, which means that the colour goes from a darker tone at the top to a lighter tone at the bottom. This way you get great sun protection with an elegant transition effect. 

2. Self-tinting spectacle lenses

If you need your lenses to adapt to light conditions, self-tinting lenses are the ideal choice for you. Self-tinting lenses react to UV light and change colour intensity depending on the amount of light — they darken outdoors while remaining clear indoors.
