Something different suits each eye. Not only the <strong>curvature of<\/strong> the lens, but also its <strong>material<\/strong> and the <strong>environment of<\/strong> your eyes.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first experience with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aleszejdl.cz\/en\/optics-for-adults\/contact-lenses\/\">contact lenses<\/a> should always take place <strong>under the supervision of a specialist \/ optometrist<\/strong>. Higher diopters are recalculated in contact lenses, so you may have <strong>different diopters in your glasses and different diopters in your lenses<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>We can help you choose the right type of lenses<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choosing contact lenses over the internet can be tedious and not always right. There are many materials and <strong>not all of them<\/strong> (even with the same curvature) have to <strong>suit<\/strong> your eyes. Instead of a long \"scroll\", it is often better to spend an hour with a specialist.  <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>We check the condition of the cornea and conjunctiva<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The optometrist will check that the surface of the eye <strong>is healthy<\/strong> and <strong>free of irritation<\/strong>. The exact <strong>length<\/strong> <strong>depends<\/strong> on whether this is your first application, whether you already have experience with contact lenses, or whether you are dealing with specific needs (astigmatism, multifocal correction, dry eyes). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order for the examination to go smoothly and for the results to be as accurate as possible,<strong> we recommend that you come without wearing contact lenses<\/strong>. If you normally wear them, leave them at home that day and bring the glasses you use. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ideally bring:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>glasses<\/strong> (current correction),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or <strong>a box of<\/strong> contact lenses you've worn before,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a list of problems you experience <strong>when wearing<\/strong> (dryness, cutting, blurred vision),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if you have one, also reports from previous eye exams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You don't have to have any special knowledge or worry about \"getting something wrong\". Anatomically, it's not possible. If it's not on the cornea, it can be in the corner of the eye or under the eyelid.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\"It's normal to sleep in contact lenses.\"<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lenses can take it, but your eyes might not. Sleeping with lenses on that are not designed for that purpose greatly increases the risk of complications. You should always follow the recommendations of your optometrist or doctor.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\"It doesn't matter what artificial tears I use.\"<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Not all drops are suitable for contact lenses<\/strong>. Our opticians will advise you on which products you can safely use. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\"You just need to know the diopters from your glasses.\"<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dioptres for glasses and contact lenses <strong>may vary<\/strong>. They also address the <strong>curvature<\/strong> and <strong>diameter of the lens<\/strong>, which cannot be properly determined without an app. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\"I need correction for distance and near, lenses are not for me.\"<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are also <strong>multifocal contact lenses<\/strong>. It's a bit of a compromise on which distance you want to see best. Multifocal lenses are most often used by wearers who were used to wearing contacts before.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\"When I wear contacts, I don't need glasses.\"<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Myth. Contact lenses should be a complement to glasses, not <strong>a replacement<\/strong>.
